Young National Chef of the Year finalist- Luke Turner
Luke found an interest in having a culinary career when he started cooking and baking with his grandparents from a young age and so went on to train at University College Birmingham. His inspiration comes from the people around him both at work and at home and also the produce he works with. Luke has previously worked at Simpsons Restaurant, Birmingham and is now working at L'Enclume in Cartmel.
Luke was seeded into the final as a winner of the British Culinary Federation Young Chef of the Year event last year. Winning the title of Craft Guild of Chefs Young National Chef of the Year would give him a huge sense of achievement.
Three words he would use to describe his style of cooking are natural, simple and clean.
